BOTOX® Cosmetic
Derived from botulinum toxin type A, BOTOX® Cosmetic has been very safely and carefully prepared for medical applications. It is a natural, purified protein produced by the clostridium botulinum bacterium. BOTOX® Cosmetic injections at our Stratham, NH practice are administered in particular areas of the face where hyper-functional muscles cause facial lines to form, thereby relaxing these muscles and smoothing the lines.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple treatment that relaxes lines for up to six months. JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel
JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel is a new type of injection made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body. This FDA-approved injectable gel corrects facial lines, wrinkles, folds, furrows, and other visible signs of aging by adding volume to the surface of the skin. The treatment can also be used to augment the cheeks or lips for a more youthful and more contoured facial appearance or a plumper, more sensual pout. In addition, JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel's cross-linked formula is absorbed by the skin slowly, which enables it to provide smoother, longer lasting results.
During the JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel treatment process, a small needle is used to inject the hyaluronic acid solution into targeted areas on the face. JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel is usually administered into the mid to deep dermis, depending on the specific cosmetic needs and goals of the patient. The smooth consistency of the gel makes treatment relatively pain free. After JUVÉDERM™ Injectable Gel treatment at our Stratham, NH practice, there may be redness, swelling, bruising, bumps, or tenderness. This usually subsides within days. Radiesse®
Radiesse® is a dermal injection that consists of calcium hydroxylapatite suspended in gel. Because calcium hydroxylapatite is a natural constituent of bone, it does not elicit a chronic inflammatory or immune response. Radiesse® is injected just under the skin's surface to reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles and improve contours by creating a lattice where the surrounding cells can be incorporated. Immediately after the treatment, there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness, or itching in the treated area. If the discomfort continues or if other reactions occur, you should always contact your practitioner. The results of facial rejuvenation treatment with Radiesse® often last a year or more.

CosmoDerm®

Dr. Zeff is now offering Artefill, an injectable filler for patients who desire longer lasting results.
Artefill is an innovative solution for those patients who want the convenience of fewer office visits required for repeat treatments with temporary fillers. Artefill consists of a combination of Artefill Precision-Filtered Microspheres, Bovine Collagen and lidocaine for comfort.
The purified bovine collagen gel acts as a carrier for the microspheres in Artefill. These tiny microspheres are made up of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), one of the most widely used synthetic implant materials in medicine. The microspheres are not absorbed by the body and provide a permanent support structure to support the wrinkle and help prevent further wrinkling. Artefill is the first and only FDA approved non-resorbable aesthetic injectable implant used for correction of facial wrinkles known as nasolabial folds, or smile lines.
