Painless, Permanent Laser Hair Removal – New Hampshire (NH)

Now laser hair removal can be PAIN-FREE! At our New Hampshire (NH) center serving Maine, Vermont, and all of New England, we are using the Serenity, a Pneumatic Skin Flattening technology that provides safe and effective pain reduction. By applying gentle suction to the skin, the Serenity distracts the nerves from feeling the pain of the hair removal laser, making the experience pleasant and relaxing. Call our office today to find out more about the Serenity.

Additionally, our state of the art Candela GentleLASE laser hair removal system is operated exclusively by physicians and nurses. The GentleLASE is one of the best lasers available. Because of the built in cooling spray, it is faster, less painful, and more efficient than most other hair removal treatments, including electrolysis. Laser hair removal can help patients enjoy freedom from shaving, waxing, and tweezing.

For more laser hair removal information, contact our New Hampshire (NH) center. Our experienced team can determine if you are a good candidate for this treatment.

The Laser Hair Removal Procedure

The GentleLASE emits a high energy beam of light directly to the hair follicle destroying the actual follicle without affecting the surrounding skin. The dynamic cooling device cools the surface of the skin immediately prior to the pulse of the laser, allowing greater patient comfort during laser hair removal treatments. The pulse of the laser can be compared to a snap of a rubber band. Any mild discomfort or redness associated with the laser hair removal treatment disappears quickly.

Laser Hair Removal Results

Most people see improvement right after the laser hair removal procedure is completed at our New Hampshire (NH) practice, serving patients in Maine, Vermont, and surrounding areas. However, three to six laser hair removal treatments - typically four to six weeks apart - are recommended for optimal results. This is because only actively growing hair responds to the laser hair removal procedure. Hair that is not growing is considered to be in a resting phase and is less effectively treated.

The laser works best on dark hair and lighter skin, allowing the greatest contrast between the skin and hair. Red, white, gray, and blonde hair may not respond as well to laser hair removal.

Patients should avoid sun exposure, tanning booths, tanning lotions, waxing, and electrolysis four to six weeks prior to, during, and after the laser hair removal treatment. During your consultation at our New Hampshire (NH) center, this and other treatment aspects can be discussed in more detail. Additionally, if you are interested in combining laser hair removal with a cosmetic surgery procedure such as liposuction, breast augmentation, or eyelid surgery, Dr. Zeff can develop a treatment plan that fits your goals.

The cost of permanent laser hair removal at our practice begins at $100.00 per treatment and increases with the size of the area treated. The most common areas for both men and women include the chin, upper lip, neck, legs, underarms, bikini, back, and chest.
