About Dr. Richard Zeff
New Hampshire (NH) cosmetic surgeon Dr. Richard Zeff is a graduate of Tufts University. He received his medical degree from the University of Miami and has almost 20 years experience in the field of plastic surgery.
After completing a surgical internship at New York University Bellevue Hospital in New York City, Dr. Zeff went on to residency in general surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, and completed his plastic surgery training at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Zeff is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the New Hampshire Medical Society, and the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Dr. Zeff has served as Chief of Surgery at Portsmouth Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and has been in private practice since 1986.
Dr. Zeff performs most surgical procedures either in his office surgical suite or at Northeast Surgical Care, a beautiful state-of-the-art outpatient surgical center. Dr. Zeff is also an active staff member at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Dr. Zeff's plastic surgery practice is conveniently located in Stratham, New Hampshire (NH), near Maine. During your private consultation, Dr. Zeff can help you determine if options such as eyelid surgery, tummy tuck, breast implants, or laser skin resurfacing are appropriate for you, and develop an individual treatment plan that fits your needs.
AAAASF Certified Facility
Our office is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc (AAAASF).
While the AAAASF accreditation process is voluntary, it has nonetheless received overwhelming recognition and support from both the surgical and the regulatory communities. To be accredited, surgery facilities must be owned and/or operated by the American Board of Medical Specialties Surgeons (ABMS), and these surgeons must also be board certified in approved surgical specialties. To date, approximately 625 ambulatory surgery centers and 50 facilities are in the process of becoming accredited, making this the single largest specialty surgery accreditation system in the world.
Accreditation consists of a three-fold review that includes a site visit, a panel assessment of site visit findings, and successful participation in a peer review/quality assurance program – the results of which must be reported to AAAASF.
These standards for accreditation enable surgeons operating outpatient surgery centers to develop a quality facility and ultimately improve patient care. We are proud to offer plastic surgery patients at our New Hampshire (NH) center this level of safety and convenience.

I was really nervous about having surgery outside of the typical O.R., but after experiencing Dr. Zeff and his surgical team I can honestly say you are a step above any surgical experience I have ever had in a hospital.
